Epistaxis

Epistaxis also known as bleeding from nose can be present in any age group.

Causes in children:
Severe Rhino sinusitis, Benign Nasal mass, trauma.

Causes in adults:
Hypertension, Rhino sinusitis, Nasal polyps, Benign nasal mass, maligancy, bleeding disorders,certain drugs, trauma

Treatment
Depends upon the cuase and control of the causative factor.
In emergency patient needs to undergo nasal packing.
Nasal endoscopy with cauterization of bleeding vessel
